The inaugural article in our BRITJ Preview column is "The Purpose of Tax Policy: Economic Growth," authored by Daniel A. Witt, the President of the International Tax and Investment Center. In this thought-provoking piece, Witt argues that the primary objective of tax policy should be to stimulate economic growth, as it is a fundamental prerequisite for revenue growth in nearly all scenarios, which we believe could bring some valuable insights to the tax policy makers.
