The Belt and Road Initiative Tax Journal Editorial Advisory Board Annual Meeting of 2020 Was Held on 24 September 2020

The Belt and Road Initiative Tax Journal (BRITJ) Editorial Advisory Board Annual Meeting of 2020 was held on 24 September 2020 with over 20 members of the Editorial Advisory Board around the world in attendance. WANG Daoshu, Executive Secretary of the BRITACʘM Secretariat, Vice Chair of the Editorial Advisory Board, and Chief Economist of the State Taxation Administration of China delivered an opening address.

 

 

In his address, Mr. WANG Daoshu extended sincere gratitude to all members of the Editorial Advisory Board and colleagues for their strong support for the successful launch of the first issue of the BRITJ. He also stressed that the BRITJ, while featuring the distinct characteristics of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) jurisdictions, shall provide an indispensable platform in deepening tax communication and cooperation, and give full play to its role of “think tank” by providing intellectual support for BRI jurisdictions.

 

Members of the Editorial Advisory Board around the world attended the virtual meeting and expressed their support and insightful views on the first issue, theme of the second, BRITJ’s development and role of the Editorial Advisory Board in general.


In the conclusion, ZHANG Zhiyong, Chair of the Editorial Advisory Board and Chairman of China International Tax Research Institute, commented that the Editorial Advisory Board would continue to perform its duties and responsibilities with greater contributions to the development of the BRITJ. Mr. ZHANG Zhiyong also called for joint efforts from all BRITACʘM stakeholders via the platform of the BRITJ to improve domestic tax environment, strengthen tax administration cooperation, and build a growth-friendly tax environment.
