The 16th Annual Silk Road Tax Forum, a significant gathering for tax policy and administration in the Eurasia region, was successfully held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on February 28-29, 2024. Organized by the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan, in collaboration with the International Tax and Investment Center (ITIC), this year's forum brought together over 100 distinguished participants from the public sector, academic community, and private industry.
The two-day event provided a platform for in-depth discussions on critical tax matters affecting countries along the Silk Road. Delegates engaged in knowledge-sharing sessions, exploring strategies to enhance tax systems and foster economic growth within the region.
Representative of the BRITACOM Secretariat attended the Forum and made a keynote speech. The speech, titled "Building a Growth-friendly Tax Environment: A Snapshot of the BRITACOM," outlined the organization's vision and advancements in creating a tax environment conducive to economic development.
In 2024 the BRITACOM will further its cooperation with tax administrations, international organizations and relevant parties to jointly build a growth-friendly tax environment and a community with a shared future for mankind.
