To enhance the preparation for the 5th BRITACOF and gain deeper insights into the development of BRITA•Macao, the BRITACOM Secretariat paid a site visit to Hong Kong and Macao in May 20-24.

 

The BRITACOM Secretariat visited AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) in Hong Kong, China where the 5th BRITACOF will be held and had in-depth exchanges with the Inland Revenue Department of Hong Kong, China on the preparation of the 5th BRITACOF. The BRITACOM Secretariat also visited BRITA•Macao and met with its counterpart on the progress of the BRITACEG. The BRITACOM delegation communicated with participants from Portuguese-speaking countries at the seminar on "Tax Dispute Resolution" being held by the BRITA•Macao, sharing information on the development of the BRITACOM and the training of the BRITACEG. 

 

The visit of the BRITACOM Secretariat was an important step in advancing the preparation for the 5th BRITACOF and moving forward with the BRITA•Macao. Discussions with the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department and visits to the offline venues of the 5th BRITACOF have ensured that the preparatory work progressed steadily and efficiently, laying a solid foundation for the high-quality hosting of the forum. In addition, the site visit to BRITA•Macao and in-depth exchanges with participants from Portuguese-speaking countries promoted high-quality technical training and academic research.
